Standard California Rack

We manufacture them in two formats:

1) 4"Low profile: this rack is designed for 2 barrels of 225/300 liters.

2) Standard DB7 ": format for 2 or 4 barrels of 225/300 liters and of 300/400 liters.

Seismic Self-Supporting Rack

ACME has developed a new type of SELF-SUPPORTING barrel rack that has several advantages over the traditional California rack.

It was developed and designed based on several years of research, tests and a study using a rigorous calculation method that ensures that its structure is earthquake-resistant according to the Chilean Standard, which is quite conservative.

. The following standards were used for the study:

a.- Chilean Seismic Design Code Nch 433 of 96

b.- Action of Wind Code Nch 432 of 71

c.- Load and Overload Code Nch of 1537

d.- AISC (American Institute Steel Construction) Specifications for Structural Steel Buildings

To date, we have manufactured more than 70,000 racks.

In addition to its seismic design, one of its main advantages is barrel preservation. Given its self-supporting quality, the barrels do not suffer any damage due to loading or deterioration when stacked.

Thanks to its structural design, it can stack up to 8 units, allowing considerable savings when it comes to square meters per barrel stored.

Its design allows for very simple and cost-effective storage. They are already being used in the Valdivieso, Pérez Cruz and Tarapacá wineries.
